Nearly everyone dreams of a taking a trip to Europe.  The continent is rich in culture, history, and beauty that motivate many of us to explore this fabulous region.  Perhaps the best way to experience the beauty of Europe is from a cruise ship.  There are many benefits to taking a cruise of Europe, with convenience and cost saving being two of the most significant reasons.  There are many different cruise packages to choose from these days.  There are dozens of ships that make their way through European waters, stopping at some of the world’s most interesting ports.

Eastern Mediterranean Cruise – This cruise will typically include ports of call in Israel, Egypt, Greece, Turkey, and other Eastern Mediterranean countries.  This type of cruise offers a unique look at the very essence of the history of mankind.  These cruises are stimulating, unusual, and exotic for travelers of all types.

Western Europe Cruise – This type of cruise typically focuses on the British Isles and Western Europe.  This cruise is ideal for travelers that have never been on a European or International cruise because English is spoken widely in most ports.   These cruises usually leave from either Dover or London in England.

This overview of the common European cruises will give you a good idea of where to start when you are ready to start making plans.  When you are making your reservations, consider where the cruise is departing from.  Consider making arrangements so that your cruise departs from a city want to explore.  You will be able to spend a few days before your cruise departs and a few days after the cruise concludes to explore the city even more.  There are some amazing cities that you will want to spend extra time in and this plan will give you the opportunity to do so.
